Material Traceability for Sheet Metal Stamping
Material is recorded by lot from receipt, with quantity, stock date and expiry held against its location. When a work order needs material, the system offers lots oldest first, so first in first out is the default rather than a discipline. Allocation and consumption are recorded as transactions against the order, and the order carries the press, the die, the production count and the quality session. Dispatch subtracts from stock and writes an audited batch record, so the chain runs from coil to shipment.

What it does
- Lot level records
- Every receipt carries its lot code, quantity, stock date and expiry.
- Oldest first selection
- Lots are ordered by stock date, so FIFO is what the system offers by default.
- Expiry tracking
- An expiry date is held against the location and validated against the stock date.
- Allocation and consumption
- Recorded as separate transactions against the work or production order.
- Order to press to quality
- The order carries the press, the die, the counts and the quality session.
- Audited dispatch
- Dispatch writes quantity, batch reference and an audit row you can query later.
